Srinagar, Oct 11 (KNO): The Aseem Foundation, a Pune-based NGO, said it successfully concluded a three-day Artificial Intelligence (AI) workshop at the Chinar Yuva and Sanctorum Institution in North Kashmir's Baramulla. In a statement issued to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the foundation said the workshop led by faculty from IIT Bombay under the supervision of the Aseem Foundation team, aimed to provide students with both foundational and practical knowledge in emerging technological fields. The IIT Bombay instructors covered key concepts in robotics, artificial intelligence, and data science during the first two days. The sessions were conducted by three experts — Siddharth (Electronics, Robotics, Software), Shakti (Mechatronics and Robotics, currently working on Natural Language Processing), and Shantanu (Computer Science, AI & Data Science, with expertise in robotics, image processing and software development). The Foundation said the faculty found the students highly engaged and capable. “It has been amazing to work with the students in Kashmir, who are sharp-minded and eager to learn. They not only enjoyed the sessions but demonstrated a remarkable aptitude for the material,” the statement quoted the instructors as saying. It said the team appreciated the enthusiasm and learning abilities of students from the Sanctorum Institution, noting their active participation throughout the sessions. Quoting Sarang Gosavi, President of the Aseem Foundation, the statement said Artificial Intelligence is the most transformative tool of this generation. “At the Aseem Foundation, we believe the future belongs not to those who merely use AI, but to those who understand, shape, and harness its power to solve real-world problems. This workshop is designed to move students from being passive observers to becoming active participants in the AI revolution,” Gosavi said. The statement added that many students’ current exposure to AI remains limited to science fiction or end-user applications, which creates a gap between theory and practice—(KNO)
